ABOUT

30 Years of Hospitality in Cappadocia

At Cappadocia Home Stay, we’re not just in the hospitality business — we’re in the business of creating meaningful, authentic experiences. Built on over 30 years of local knowledge and expertise, our journey began as one of the earliest boutique hospitality ventures in the region. Over the years, we've evolved into a curated collection of private cave houses and stone homes that offer a truly immersive way to experience this magical land.

Our mission is simple: We don’t just want you to stay in Cappadocia; we want you to live in it. From the moment you step into one of our homes, you’ll feel the authenticity, comfort, and connection to the land that only comes with careful restoration and thoughtful design. Each home we offer is a testament to our dedication to quality and local craftsmanship. They are privately managed, lovingly restored, and designed to offer you an experience that goes beyond the ordinary. Whether it’s waking up to the sounds of nature in a traditional cave house or unwinding in a stone home with panoramic views, we’re here to help you make the most of your time in Cappadocia.

About the Founder

Süha Ersöz is a Turkish hospitality entrepreneur based in Cappadocia and the founder of a cave accommodation experience located in Ürgüp. He is regarded as a pioneer of the cave hotel concept in the region.

After graduating in law, he spent many years working at his family’s petrol station. He also spent time in Italy after his legal education, an experience that broadened his cultural perspective and deepened his appreciation for heritage and design. He later came to Cappadocia as a tourism volunteer, which became a turning point in his relationship with the region, before shifting his career toward hospitality.

He went on to establish Esbelli Evi, Cappadocia’s first boutique cave hotel, which he developed and operated for nearly 30 years. Building on this long-standing experience, he later shifted toward a more intimate home-stay concept, drawing on his deep understanding of the region and its hospitality culture.

He began by purchasing and carefully restoring traditional Cappadocian cave dwellings and historic stone structures. His approach is grounded in deep respect for the region’s original architecture, aiming to preserve its authenticity and spirit while integrating modern comfort. This balance between heritage and livability reflects a strong aesthetic sensibility, where simplicity, harmony, and natural materials play a central role.

Beyond hospitality, Süha Ersöz is also known for his close engagement with both local and international arts and cultural communities. Over the years, he has hosted artists, thinkers, and cultural figures in Cappadocia and has supported various cultural initiatives and events in the region.

The cave accommodation experience he developed is known for its authentic cave-style suites designed to offer a warm, intimate, and memorable Cappadocian stay. It has been featured in international publications for its distinctive design and atmosphere. Through his vision, he has created more than just a place to stay—he has helped foster a meaningful connection between guests, global culture, and the timeless landscape of Cappadocia.
